How have intergovernmental organisations (IGOs) responding to the COVID-19 crisis designed their interventions in conflict-affected states, and have these interventions been successful in mitigating not only the effects of the pandemic but the potential for the pandemic to further destabilise these countries?

This project will focus on mapping and analysing the impact of the African Union’s Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) in its effort to support member states to address the health, economic, and political impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will look at how the AU adjusted its response to meet the needs of conflict-affected member states and examine to what extent their guidance and support impacted the state-level response.
