The aim of this research is to better understand the patterns of health and care worker migration for older people care throughout Asia, and the potential for expanding ethical and sustainable migration pathways.
Working in partnership with local researchers and the Asian Development Bank, CGD will undertake research and outreach to understand these factors and present policy recommendations to relevant governments and stakeholders. In doing so, the project will build on CGD’s experience in building ethical, sustainably, and mutually beneficial migration programs, responding to COVID-19, and improving health systems overall.
